The Nations favourites
This pair were my very first two originals, completed in 2021, having done pet portraits for over a year, they were a perfect transition into original artwork. They are two portraits that warm the heart and soul of any animal lover. The black Labrador is renowned for its loyal and loving nature, whilst the chestnut horse is pleasing to the eye. Their presence, character and beauty are incredibly relatable to our equine and canine fanatics and is sure to be a home favourite on any wall.
The British Countryside
There is a diverse range of wildlife in Great Britain to be educated about and enjoyed through the lens of art. I personally feel there needs to be more noise around the risk of the wildlife here in the UK. My aim is to create artwork that can help raise awareness of these beautiful animals, and aid the conservation efforts here in the UK from charities such as the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
'Silent flight'
A stylish barn owl soaring through the night was inspired by the many that occupy the the countryside in the UK. The name 'Silent flight' came to mind because of their stealthy, quiet presence during the night when they are on the hunt for food.
They are identifiable by their heart-shaped face and their deckled beige, golden and grey wings. The Barn Owl is a distinctive and much-loved countryside bird.
Conservation status: GREEN
Thankfully, they are classified in the UK as Green under the Birds of Conservation Concern 5: the Red List for Birds (2021). Protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981.
